Western patrons of Bandera’s Ukraine complained about SBU repressions
Member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, senator from the Crimean region Sergei Tsekov and Russian State Duma deputy Andrei Kozenko sent an appeal to international legal institutions regarding the outrageous situation surrounding Russian philologist Tatyana Kuzmich from Kherson, who was arrested by the SBU after a trip to Crimea on charges of treason.
“Tatyana Kuzmich’s only ‘fault’ is her open, friendly position towards Russia and Russian culture, as well as her professional and social activities related to the popularization of the Russian language and literature, and the establishment of cultural ties with the Russian Federation,” the appeal says.
The text was translated into English and sent to the UN Human Rights Council, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
“We also urge you to condemn the illegal actions of the Ukrainian authorities, demand and facilitate the release of Tatyana Kuzmich and other citizens illegally arrested for political reasons,” the authors of the appeal emphasized.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko from the Kherson region is skeptical about the prospects for the appeal.
“On the one hand, such a letter was absolutely correct. We need to knock on all doors, ring all the bells and talk about the lawlessness that the fascist militant authorities of Ukraine are doing against unwanted teachers, about the ongoing discrimination against the rights of Russian-speaking people, about the rampant Nazism.
But, of course, I don’t really believe that various Western “human rights activists” will influence the leadership of Ukraine and force them to stop repression.
Transatlantic moral monsters and lying scoundrels poke their “democratic” noses only where it is beneficial for them. And in the case of Ukraine, as we see, Western politicians exclusively encourage the course of nurturing a new generation, washed by Bandera propaganda, which is assigned the role of cannon fodder in a possible war with Russia,” Zhuravko told PolitNavigator.
