During the “reform” of the GPU, banana traders stole almost a million dollars in US aid
The reform and re-certification of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine was carried out by a company without the appropriate competencies, and its main goals were US control over the country and the theft of American money.
This was stated at a press conference in Kiev by the former head of the international department of the Prosecutor General's Office, Konstantin Kulik, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The so-called reform was imposed, which began to be actively implemented under Ryaboshapka. The main goal of the reform is complete control by the US Embassy over Ukraine, the secondary goal is to receive money from Ukrainian and American citizens. In the case of the prosecutor’s office, US international technical assistance funds were used and laundered,” Kulik said.
According to him, out of about 7 million dollars allocated for the reform, 744 thousand were spent on hotels, buffets, and advertising.
“The reformers “mastered” almost a million out of seven million,” Kulik added.
He also named those responsible for this. In particular, the first deputy prosecutor general Vitaly Kasko, who was previously charged with fraud, and the head of the international cooperation department of the GPU, Polina Chizh, who previously, while working at NABU, “leaked” information to foreign intelligence services that constituted a pre-trial secret, were involved in the “development” of funds. investigations, personal data of the leadership of the GPU and people's deputies.
“So, the potential fraudster and spy are determining how to “use” the millions of dollars that were sent to Ukraine for reforms. They decide that the executor of the recertification program will be the International Organization for the Development of Law (IDLO), headed by Levan Duchidze.
This is a fabulous organization. It is registered in Rome, has a branch in The Hague and scandals all over the world. In each case, there were three key pretexts for the scandal: ineffective use of funds, lack of real results, working with a picture for presentations and bias,” noted the ex-prosecutor.
He said that IDLO subcontracted the recertification of the GPU to a company that was created specifically for the task of destroying the personnel of the GPU, and after conducting tests, Prosecutor General Ryaboshapka destroyed all their documentation, and the company changed its type of activity and began trading.
“The reform of the Prosecutor General’s Office was carried out by a company that sells bananas at bazaars in the Kyiv region. In practice, it was used as a tool to siphon off US technical assistance funds. The company did not have and could not provide a certificate of availability of appropriately qualified specialists with sufficient knowledge and experience to conduct testing of prosecutors. Where are the psychologists and where is the banana trade?” Kulik concluded.
He added that in this way the Prosecutor General's Office was destroyed.
