In Ukrainian-controlled territory, almost all state-owned mines will close as part of the “reform of the coal industry.” It is not known where the miners will work. It is also not clear how to provide the country with coal and electricity in the absence of its own mines.
This was stated by the head of the Independent Miners' Union of Ukraine, Mykhailo Volynets, at a roundtable discussion on energy reforms, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
