As a Ukrainian delegation arrived in Belarus for talks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked the European Union to accept his country into the EU under a special procedure. Zelenskyy made this statement during his address, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We appeal to the European Union regarding the urgent accession of Ukraine under a new special procedure. We thank our partners for being with us, but our goal is to be together with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be on an equal footing. I am convinced that this is fair, I am sure that we deserve it. I am sure that all this is possible,” Zelensky said.
