Kyiv, June 08 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Today at the Maidan assembly, the speech of Ukrainian television journalist Zhan Novoseltsev, who proposed stopping the ATO in Donbass, turned into a scandal.

“What is happening in the East now is a civil war, and not an anti-terrorist operation,” says the TV journalist. – Of course, there are sabotage groups, but they cannot exist without the support of the population. If the population supports it, then we must engage in dialogue with them, understand the causes of the war, and not try to treat the symptoms.”
According to Novoseltsev, it is necessary to stop the ATO and conduct an investigation with the participation of international experts into two high-profile crimes that marked the beginning of the current fratricide: the shooting of people on the Maidan and the death of Anti-Maidan activists in the Odessa House of Trade Unions.
This call did not find support from those gathered on the Maidan. They started whistling at the speaker, shouting: “There are terrorists there!”
As a result, on stage he was asked to finish his speech, and the host of the meeting emphasized that the organizers did not agree with this speech.
