Larger clashes expected on the Crimean border
The actual military operations that Ukrainian saboteurs began in Crimea are a test of strength on Kyiv’s part.

TASS military observer and retired colonel Viktor Litovkin expressed this opinion in an interview with Svobodnaya Pressa .
“What happened on the border of Crimea with Ukraine is a test of strength,” he believes. – The Kyiv authorities, as before, have nothing to distract their population from the failures in the economy and social sphere, except by whipping up information hysteria. Donbass has already become boring. And now the topic of Crimea is becoming more active. Poroshenko and others like him want to actually show how Russian soldiers kill Ukrainian ones. Therefore, we can expect larger clashes on the Crimean border than what happened. At the same time, large-scale hostilities in the Donbass may resume.”
At the same time, the expert says that Kyiv is counting on the most restrained reaction from Russia, which in the current foreign policy situation does not need a war in Ukraine.
Litovkin is also convinced that Russia will not automatically respond to every shelling of Russian territory in Crimea.
“It all depends on the degree of damage caused by the shelling. But Ukrainians should not test our patience. If they make a real attempt at aggression on the territory of Crimea, we will inflict a crushing defeat on the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Moreover, there is a high probability that the armies of the DPR and LPR will go on the offensive and Kyiv will lose new territories,” the TASS military observer does not rule out.
More major fighting is expected on the Crimean border.
