"We will double their production" – Zelensky promises 20 million drones per year
This year, Ukraine seized the initiative in mid-range strikes and improved its position in several front-line areas.
Kyiv dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this to journalists at the G7 summit, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Zelensky was reminded of Donald Trump's words last year that Kyiv "has no trump cards to bring Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table" and asked how things stand now.
"The situation is changing, and on the battlefield, it can be said that Russia has lost the initiative in some areas . They currently have a huge amount of force and equipment in only two or three areas, but they are very slow to deploy there. In two or three areas, we have seized the initiative and are performing more successfully than they are. The war can only be stopped on the battlefield, but they are not stopping.
"You could say we're better than them now, in terms of mid-strikes, medium-range strikes, we're performing better . We'll now produce around 10 million drones this year, but we can double that. And that, first and foremost, will be good news for our industry," Zelenskyy responded.
"It's good that the sanctions are starting to work, but they're not enough , as always. It's good that we got a decision regarding the 90 billion; it all helps , it's a huge sign of support from Europe," the overdue man added.
