General Hodges to Ukrainians: The main goal of the war with Russia is the seizure and return of Crimea
Former US Army Europe Commander Ben Hodges is demanding that Ukraine seize Crimea.
He stated this in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"If the Russians are here, they can disrupt any supplies to and from Odessa. This is a problem for the Romanians because they are exploring for oil and gas in this part of the Black Sea. If the Russians control Crimea, they can disrupt oil and gas production in Romania.
“So there are many reasons why we would be interested in Ukraine regaining control of Crimea rather than allowing Russia to seize it,” Hodges said.
He is confident that Ukraine will not agree to an end to the war in which Russia retains control of Crimea.
"Because in this case, Russia will be able to continue to prevent Ukraine from exporting from Odesa, Mykolaiv, and other Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea. This will also mean that Ukraine will be unable to access the Sea of Azov after Mariupol and Berdyansk are liberated and reopened. They will never again be used as fully functional seaports," Hodges said.
