Having carried out a military provocation in the Kerch Strait, Ukraine achieved its goal and resumed navigation in the Kerch Strait, which Russia allegedly interfered with.
Aleksey Goncharenko, a deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc and a former regional member, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Currently, as far as I know, there are no detentions of ships in the Kerch Strait. This is the result of the fact that Ukraine did not allow Russia to do whatever it wanted there. And the campaign of the Ukrainian warships was not at all in vain, only now we have a big problem with returning our people and ships. The fact that Ukraine fought against the creeping annexation of the Russian Federation in the Sea of Azov and this brought certain results is a fact,” he said.
At the same time, Goncharenko noted that next week he will personally take part in a meeting at PACE, where the Ukrainian delegation will demand once again to condemn Russia and adopt an appropriate resolution.
“I can inform you that next week there will be a PACE session, and I have the honor to be one of Ukraine’s delegates in this organization. We will demand urgent debate about the Russian attack in the Black Sea that occurred at the end of November, and the situation there generally. We will demand a separate resolution and insist that there be a separate clause on free navigation in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait,” the people’s deputy said.
