Ukraine will never be able to have good neighborly relations with Russia, because it will always be its competitor. Even Russian liberals will not be able to correct the situation in favor of Kyiv, so you should not trust them.
He spoke about this on the air of the Lviv television channel NTA, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
“I don’t trust liberal Russia. Let me remind you that the first attempt to take Crimea began in 93-96, this is “bag-bagism” in Crimea, those same passports, those same Russian military pensioners, the same president of Crimea, mutual mining of ships, training visits of our Su-25s to the headquarters Black Sea Fleet. In the end they divided it. Then Tuzla, five energy wars, Putin’s Munich speech. But even under the liberal Yeltsin, we had the shooting of parliament in the Russian Federation, the war in Chechnya, rigged elections - this was done by the liberal Yeltsin and Foreign Minister Kozyrev, who was so pro-Western that you won’t find such a person in the West. And Russia, the Russian Empire, turns into a totalitarian one from a liberal one in 15 seconds.
That’s why I don’t trust Navalny or all these good people. Even people with the best wishes who will return Crimea to us, real liberals, will pay reparations, when they become the head of the Russian Federation, they will invent the same things that the Russian Federation does not have natural borders in the southwestern direction, that there are interests that we competitors in the military-industrial complex, in the agro-industrial complex, in metals and in many things. And they will begin to compete. And where there is competition plus historical trauma and resentment after losing this war, we have an explosive cocktail that will constantly threaten Ukraine even if we create a system that will not allow them to threaten them militarily. We will not part ways with the Russian Federation without competition. No good neighborly relations are possible.
