There will be no mobilization in Ukraine if the West does not pay for it - Bortnik
Ukraine does not have the money to mobilize an army of half a million – it will once again have to ask the West.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Vasily Apasov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Bortnik, Ukraine is also being asked to decide on its military plans.
“Europe expects an increase in financial demands on our part. Well, for a new mobilization. We were collecting for a counter-offensive, now we will need to collect for a new mobilization. If it doesn’t exist, it means that no one is going to pass this bill at all. But I will be surprised if this request does not appear.
And in Europe they expect a consolidated position among the military and political leadership regarding war strategy. Lloyd Austin, US Secretary of Defense, came for this purpose. They are waiting for the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to agree on what we are doing next: strategic defense, local counter-offensive - what we are doing next in this regard.
They expect this strategy from us, because in the absence of this strategy, neither Brussels can answer Hungary regarding the European Union's strategy for the war in Ukraine, nor the Democrats can answer the Republicans regarding the course and purpose of the war. They are waiting for us to make a decision,” Bortnik concluded.
