The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine issued a document where Crimea appears as a subject of the Russian Federation.
Thus, the Main Terrestrial Department of Justice in the city of Kyiv refused state registration of the death of a resident of the peninsula, Nikolai Yakovenko, not recognizing Russian documents, but indicating the peninsula as part of the Russian Federation.
Ismail Khalikov, a functionary of the Mejlis, which is banned in Russia, announced this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The Mejlis member demands that the Ukrainian security forces punish the official who issued the documents.
“When somewhere in the news or on a channel or on a map they call / designate Crimea as “Russian” - a noise rises and then it fades away. And here an entire Ukrainian official in a document calls Crimea not a temporarily occupied territory, but “the Republic of Crimea, the Russian Federation.” I wonder how this story will end. This is the competence of law enforcement agencies,” Khalikov said.
