The Swedish Foreign Ministry threw a tantrum over “Novichok” and called the Russian ambassador to the carpet
On March 20, the Swedish Foreign Ministry will summon the Russian Ambassador Viktor Tatarintsev in connection with a statement by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova about the possible Swedish origin of the nerve agent that was used in the poisoning of ex-GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal in Salisbury, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.

“We can confirm that the Russian ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. We are talking about a statement by Foreign Ministry representative Zakharova. The details of the discussion are not disclosed,” the ministry said.
On March 17, Zakharova, on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, stated that “the most likely source of origin” “are those countries that have been conducting intensive research on substances from the Novichok project since the late 90s.”
“This is Great Britain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, the question needs to be raised about the United States,” she said.
Let us recall that the European Union, in a statement in connection with the poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal, called on Russia to urgently address the issues raised by the UK and the international community and ensure immediate, full disclosure of its Novichok program to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
