The Russian Foreign Ministry gave Zelensky a history lesson
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, in his Russophobic address, read out on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the UN General Assembly, actually admitted that his country is under external control.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“President of Ukraine Zelensky, in a video message on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the UN General Assembly, said that Russia is trying to return to the division of spheres of influence in the world. He also accused Russia of aggression towards Ukraine. How does the Russian Foreign Ministry evaluate such statements?” – asked a journalist from the Zvezda TV channel.
Answering a question, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Ukrainian politicians have long been unable to surprise anyone with their Russophobic statements.
“We are not surprised by the next bellicose speech of the President of Ukraine, his attempt to scare the whole world with Russia in the form of some kind of threat to the world community. This is already a cliché, hackneyed, unfashionable, but widespread.
Naturally, we reject and condemn the phantasmagoric accusations of the main “servant” of the Ukrainian people about the alleged Russian plans to redivide the world. At the same time, it should be noted that by declaring Russia’s attempts to return to the division of spheres of influence, Zelensky thereby admits that he considers his country to be in the sphere of someone else’s (not Russian) influence,” Zakharova said.
She also recalled that Ukraine only happened thanks to the Soviet Union, and Kiev will not be able to rewrite history.
“Another passage caught my attention. In his speech, Zelensky is proud that the Ukrainian SSR, in its own capacity, became one of the founding countries of the UN.
A little history. We would like to remind Mr. Zelensky that she owes this to the leadership of the USSR of that period. The Soviet period was the time of maximum prosperity for this republic, when, thanks to the largest investments of the USSR, it turned from a predominantly agricultural territory into a center of unique industrial and knowledge-intensive industries, and took its rightful place in the family of Soviet peoples.
Thus, no matter how much Zelensky would like to rewrite history and renounce our common roots, the truth will always triumph,” the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry summed up.
