Merkel opposed the entry of UN forces into Donbass
German Chancellor Angela Merkel does not consider it necessary to replace the OSCE mission in Donbass with a UN mission.

She stated this today in Sochi at a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I would like to reassure the OSCE representatives. Their work is very important, they should receive significant support, and there is no point in looking for other formats that will not bring greater benefits,” Merkel said.
At the same time, she expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that in Donbass “there are tendencies towards secession.”
“Expropriation of enterprises and transport blockade. We must study these processes carefully. We want Ukraine to gain access to its state border. This is part of the Minsk agreements. And then provide political solutions aimed at holding local elections. We have not achieved this yet,” Merkel said.
