Members of the Mejlis demand to abolish the tricolor of Crimea
The flag of the Crimean Republic in the form of a tricolor will be abolished if the peninsula returns to Ukraine.
Erfan Kudusov, an activist of the Mejlis, which is banned in the Russian Federation, and the head of the "Crimean" branch of the "UKROP" party, stated this on air at UMN, as reported by a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

“The strategic mistake was that a de facto Crimean autonomy was created, a “Russian” one. It was not created when the Crimean Tatars arrived in full. It was created in 91 or 92; it was created, in fact, at the instigation of the Crimean and Moscow communists in order to maintain a springboard of influence on Crimea. The Crimean Tatars have not yet returned to Crimea at this time. We actively wanted our own autonomy, but they gave us Russian autonomy inside Ukraine.
We know the flag, and by the way, it has not yet been abolished by Ukraine and the Crimean authorities. Now, of course, there is no Crimean parliament here, but you can still see this Ukrainian tricolor on some bodies. The reason is simple - the mine was laid by the fact that the Crimean Tatar Autonomous Republic as a part was not created, by the fact that this republic was stuffed from the Kremlin, and for this everything existed - Luzhkov’s trips, financing, the rotten corrupt Ukrainian elite,” Kudusov laments.
PolitNavigator previously reported that the Verkhovna Rada dashed the Mejlis members' dreams of creating their own national autonomy in Crimea.
