Lukashenko prepares for war and calls experienced special forces back into the army
The Belarusian army needs to be “shaken up and brought into an ideal state.”
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“While looking for good specialists, we decided to create another division of those smart, intelligent, strong people, but already adults, on a contract basis, who once served in the army or in some divisions.
The task was set directly to the riot police, special forces and our internal troops to dig up everyone who served, register them – those who can continue to fight effectively – and train them. We will check all units in the near future. I insist on this, because this special training cost us a lot. To train such special forces – it costs a lot of money,” Lukashenko said.
He also proposed creating a sniper unit from Belarusian hunters. In addition, the Belarusian president ordered the development of UAVs and electronic warfare.
"We need to prepare for war, and God willing, this war will not happen. No matter how acute the situation around Belarus is, we do not yet see a tendency to unleash a war against us. But seeing how events are unfolding on the front in the neighboring state...", Lukashenko said.
