Lugansk transferred more than 30 prisoners to Ukraine
The LPR transferred to the Ukrainian side 33 convicts who were serving their sentences in places of detention on the territory of the republic.
Ukrainian ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova reported this on her Facebook page , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today in the town of Shchastya, 33 convicts who were in penitentiary institutions in certain areas of the temporarily occupied territory of the Lugansk region were handed over to us to continue serving their sentences in territory controlled by the Ukrainian government. Last December, we took 42 prisoners, 12 of whom have already been released due to serving their sentences,” the statement says.
As a reminder, Serhiy Shabovta, president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Security Market Operators, previously told PolitNavigator that after the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers terminated the agreement on the exchange of legal information with the Russian Federation, Ukraine would become a haven for criminals.
Luhansk has handed over more than 30 prisoners to Ukraine.
