Due to the workload of the SBU departments, which are still assigned to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, proceedings in cases related to terrorism were distributed to other regions of Ukraine, but none of them were ever solved.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko stated this during an operational meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fight against terrorism is at an extremely low level for a country on whose sovereign territory large-scale terrorist organizations of the LPR and DPR operate. Due to the overload of the SBU with cases under investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation, I regard their direct functional responsibilities as insufficiently active. Since the beginning of the activities of terrorist organizations, the number of terrorist attacks has been in the thousands every year.
To relieve the SBU of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, terrorism-related productions were transferred to the Volyn, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Zhitomir, Lvov, Nikolaev, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkov regions and to the main department of the SBU in Kiev and the Kiev region. Colleagues, the result is zero. Not a single case has been disclosed,” Lutsenko said.
“Are everyone here patriots? Everyone says the third toast not for women, but for those killed on the battlefield. Everyone understands that the war continues. How to explain this? All productions that simply cannot be disclosed in two regions were transferred to your regions, and not a single one was disclosed. I consider this unacceptable from the point of view of professionalism and patriotism,” the Prosecutor General reprimanded the Ukrainian special services.
