“Deprive the right of veto!” – Zelensky at the UN demanded the exclusion of Russia from the Security Council
Western bloc countries must do everything possible to help Kyiv expel Russia from the UN Security Council and deprive it of its veto power.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stated this at a meeting of the General Assembly of the UN Security Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Only through joint efforts can we stop this aggression. And even the fact that the Russian Federation has a place here is wrong...
The current UN system does not give you [developing states] the necessary influence and veto power that Security Council members have. And we know that Russia can use it - this must be taken into account,” Zelensky said.
He demanded that Russia be expelled from the Security Council and deprived of its veto power.
“I am confident that the UN Charter can work, but for this to happen, certain reforms are necessary, which should result in specific processes.
We are talking about [Russia's] representation here in the Security Council and its veto power. This needs to be reformed,” added the Ukrainian president.
