The LDPR proposes to introduce an excise tax on sweet carbonated drinks in order to finance the program to combat oncology and diabetes.
Party leader Leonid Slutsky announced this to journalists today, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“This can be done by introducing an excise tax on sweet soda, which the LDPR has repeatedly proposed. This will give the budget revenues of about 35 billion rubles. We hope the government will hear us,” Slutsky said.
