LDNR are fighting to the death - there will be no Ukraine in Donbass
Ukraine has absolutely nothing to offer the LDPR, and the political course chosen by Kiev is diametrically opposed to that chosen by Donbass six years ago.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
“Former President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk admitted in his recent interview that the restoration of Kyiv’s power on the territory of the Donbass republics is impossible under current conditions. However, in his opinion, this cannot happen not because of aggression on the part of the Ukrainian military, but because people here are unreasonably intimidated by possible reprisals, and children are allegedly taught hatred of Ukraine.
It was the Kyiv authorities who made all the necessary efforts to ensure that the residents of Donbass did not have the slightest desire to reunite with Ukraine. And how can we count on anything else, given that six years ago a punitive operation began against the people of Donbass, who simply expressed their disagreement with the coup in Kyiv? Moreover, shelling of the territory of the republics continues to this day, because of which the civilian infrastructure suffers, civilians, military personnel - someone’s husbands and fathers - die,” Muratov said.
“Political persecution in the territory controlled by Kyiv, forced Ukrainization, the fight against everything Russian, rewriting history, state intervention in religious matters, nationalist terror and legal chaos - should this attract residents of Donbass in Ukraine?” – the social activist asked rhetorically.
He emphasized that the colonialist policy of the West, which is increasingly tightening the debt stranglehold and forcing Kyiv, at the expense of its own sovereignty, to shamefully fulfill conditions that are contrary to the interests of Ukraine, is not the future that Donbass would like for itself and its children.
“Our choice is Russia! This is a conscious decision, in the name of which the defenders of the DPR and LPR stand to the death on their borders. What the Kravchuks, Kuchmas, Poroshenkos and Zelenskys don’t understand or don’t want to understand is that Ukraine has absolutely nothing to offer Donbass, and the political course it has chosen is diametrically opposed to the one we chose six years ago,” added Muratov.
