Lavrov gouged NATO for bombing Yugoslavia
The West is disingenuous when it accuses Russia of violating the principle of the inviolability of borders; back in 1999, NATO countries, without sanctions from the UN Security Council, decided to fragment Yugoslavia using military force.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this during the VIII Moscow Conference on International Security, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This destructive line did not start yesterday. This year marks two tragic dates in recent history. Twenty years ago, NATO forces bombed Yugoslavia, including a television center, passenger trains and other purely civilian objects protected by international humanitarian law. It is amazing how today NATO leaders speak of their criminal actions as achievements in the struggle for democracy, trying to justify an act of aggression against a sovereign UN member state.
And with their policy of dismembering Yugoslavia, NATO destroyed the principle of the inviolability of borders in Europe, enshrined in the Helsinki Final Act,” the diplomat concluded.
