Crimean Tatars want to resume foreign flights from Simferopol
In Crimea, they plan to revive the international status of the Simferopol airport - the first country where a plane flying from the Russian peninsula will land will be Uzbekistan.
This was stated in the blog of the Crimean Tatar organization "Kyrym Birligi", which initiated the route, reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
It is not yet said when the plans of the social activists will come to life, but it is noted that the launch of a charter flight from Crimea to Tashkent will increase the tourist flow in both directions and will help compatriots living in different countries.
“Personally, my two grandmothers and grandfathers are buried in Uzbekistan. Many people do the same. There are memorial days when people want to come and pay their respects, in memory of those who are no longer there. We understand and are confident that they will meet us,” said the chairman of the organization, Seytumer Nimetullayev.
