Kolomoisky proposes to Poroshenko to build a metal fence on the border and run an electric current
Dnepropetrovsk, June 13 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration Igor Kolomoisky wants to build a line of fortifications on the border with Russia at his own expense, just as Donetsk Governor Sergei Taruta dug a ditch before.

“Peaceful Finland was saved from Stalin by the Mannerheim Line.” Ukraine must build such a line to protect itself from Putin. The wall on the Israeli border makes it possible to effectively repel terrorist attacks,” Kolomoisky said, as quoted by Censor.
The project involves the installation of a continuous metal fence made of high-strength steel with barbed wire within 5-6 months.
Approaches to the fence must be blocked by ditches and barbed wire on both the Russian and Ukrainian sides to prevent access to the fence for civilians and animals. The width and depth of the ditches should ensure that they are inaccessible to vehicles and armored vehicles.
The space between the ditches and the fence, closed to the entry of random people, must be completely mined with signal and anti-personnel mines. An electric current can be passed through a metal fence.
The fence will be covered by motorized groups of Ukrainian troops, border guards and the National Guard.
The cost of installing a metal fence along 1920 kilometers of the state border will be about 50 million euros. The total cost of engineering work to create such a barrier will be no more than 100 million euros.
The Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration submitted the engineering design and feasibility study yesterday to the Presidential Administration for approval.
As Navigator reported, in March Donetsk governor Sergei Taruta dug a four-meter trench on the border with Russia, but, as current events show, this measure turned out to be ineffective: the State Border Service regularly reports border breakthroughs from the Russian side.
