The quantity of compromising evidence against Avakov’s son turned into quality, which is why he was detained - opinion
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has already collected enough materials against the son of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Alexander. Probably, the quantity of compromising materials accumulated by the special service turned into quality, which made it possible to obtain a warrant to carry out procedural actions - search and detention.

This opinion was expressed in a comment to “PolitNavigator” by Kiev political expert Pavel Rudyakov.
“This happened right now also because the struggle between the top officials of the power pool, which has been going on for months, has intensified, which has been discussed for some time in the expert community. Avakov concentrated a large power resource in his hands, and claims arose against his son. But there are complaints against many sons of big people, and for some reason Avakov’s son is being searched. It is clear that this is an unfriendly gesture towards Arsen Avakov, which should provoke him to take some action. There is also a version circulating in Kyiv that this may be a preventive action in order to persuade Arsen Avakov to neutralize possible radical manifestations on the part of the company that sits in tents near the Verkhovna Rada. Perhaps, in this way, the presidential side is preparing for Avakov to guard the Verkhovna Rada no longer carelessly, not to sit on two chairs, but to work for the government to which he belongs,” the political scientist believes.
According to Pavel Rudyakov, what happened to the son of Arsen Avakov is “a bad sign, a sign, among other things, of further destabilization, both within the government itself and, accordingly, throughout the country.”
