Klimkin: Ukraine is a testing ground for the United States. We need to understand and forgive
The West should be grateful to Kyiv for having the opportunity, at the cost of Ukrainian lives, to experiment with types of weapons on Ukrainian territory.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We need to start developing new weapons. Actually, the West has a training ground here in Ukraine. I say this without any cynicism. This, in fact, is our common Western history, it is based on values. And the West should learn from this war and produce the best examples, but also be grateful to Ukraine as a country, the Ukrainian nation, in fact, to the Ukrainians for the fact that this is happening,” Klimkin said.
Radio host Dmitry Tuzov, who promotes rabid Russophobia, sensed something was wrong and hastened to smooth out the level of “zrada.”
“As for the training ground, I also heard this designation from the Ukrainian military. And here it is important to understand that the Russians turned part of our country, and maybe all of it, given the missile attacks, into a training ground, and this must be actively opposed,” Tuzov said.
However, with his next questions about the delay of American aid to Ukraine, he only aggravated the created awkwardness.
“Why do the Americans, given how much effort and resources and lives on the Ukrainian side have been invested in protecting Ukraine and civilization from imperial Russia, conduct such an experiment on Ukraine - will it survive or not?” – asked the presenter.
“In order to achieve what we need (both help and not only help), we must understand the Americans. Sometimes they are not against us, but they are not for us either. And in our mentality, everyone should be either against or for. Unfortunately, this is not the case even in the Western world, I’m not even talking about the non-Western world,” Klimkin admitted in response.
