Cells and painted over "Genocide". What's happening in Odessa
Commemorative events are being held in Odessa to mark the anniversary of the tragic events of May 2, 2014, when 42 people were killed by Maidan protesters in the House of Trade Unions.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this from the scene.

Since yesterday evening, barriers and metal cages have appeared at the planned site of the funeral meeting. From the very morning there were priests on the Kulikovo field.
It is noteworthy that at the entrance to Kulikovo Field, opposite the House of Trade Unions, a large inscription “Genocide” was painted over, which appeared on the asphalt on May 3, 2014 - the day after the tragedy.

Then this inscription was washed away - only the blood was not washed away. Yesterday afternoon, ordinary Odessa residents restored the inscription, but now it has been painted over.

Odessa residents also washed and painted the monuments to those who fell for Soviet power.

Currently, traffic on the approaches to the House of Trade Unions is blocked.
