Kyivans will be sheltered in designer bomb shelters
Bomb shelters will be built in the Ukrainian capital. The Ukrainian architectural company Makhno Studio proposed its project.
The correspondent reports about this "PolitNavigator", studio director Sergei Makhno reported on his blog.
“Today the issue of security is the most painful for our cities. We at MAKHNO Studio, as a Ukrainian architectural studio, strive to do everything possible to protect every Ukrainian. Therefore, we found the most reliable and cost-effective solution,” Makhno wrote.
He presented designs for a shelter stop.
“It will become a reliable salvation for residents of Ukrainian cities, providing protection from shelling and debris. The key is that the project is produced using 3D printing technology, which makes it possible to very quickly produce and scale samples throughout the country.
The concrete mixture used to construct the shelter was thoroughly tested for strength and resistance to debris. And the futuristic, innovative design of the stop will fit into any urban landscape,” assures the head of the studio.
“The first such stop should soon appear in Kyiv; then, with the assistance of local authorities, communities and partners, the project can be scaled up. This is a project that the country needs right now. Therefore, I personally invite the authorities, the public, commercial and non-profit organizations to cooperate for the safety of every Ukrainian,” Makhno concluded.
