Kyiv begged London and Washington for four-star military advisers to help make the Armed Forces of Ukraine a real army
At the request of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Great Britain and the United States of America are sending high-level advisers to assist in reforming the defense department, the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported.

“In the near future, the US Government will send a strategic level adviser, 4-star General John Abizaid, to Ukraine. From 2003 to 2007, General J. Abizaid served as commander of the US Central Command. The British adviser is General Nick Parker, former commander of the British Armed Forces,” the statement says.
Kiev hopes that the activities of these strategic advisers in Ukraine will help increase the pace and scale of defense reform.
