Kernes brought Zhukov back once again
A monument to the legendary Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov has been restored in Kharkov.
The city's mayor, Gennady Kernes, announced this in his blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Kernes emphasized that the restoration of the monument was his promise to the townspeople, which he fulfilled.
“As promised, today they returned it to its place,” the mayor signed a photo with the restored monument.

Let us note that this is not the first restoration of the monument to Zhukov in Kharkov. Vandals have previously destroyed the bust.
PolitNavigator reported that Ukrainian nationalists in Kharkiv tore down a monument to Victory Marshal Georgy Zhukov near the Sports Palace.
The deputies also restored Marshal Zhukov Avenue to its historical name. Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes signed this decision.
