Simferopol, December 23 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Operation of the Kerch ferry crossing was suspended on Tuesday morning, Interfax reports , citing the dispatch service of the Unified Transport Directorate.

“The movement of ferries in the Kerch Strait has been suspended since half past four in the morning due to weather conditions. The wind has intensified, gusts reaching 20 meters per second or more,” the dispatcher said.

According to him, the storm warning announced the day before will last until 21.00 Moscow time on Tuesday.

Starting Monday, the Kerch crossing operates depending on actual weather conditions; it is recommended to refrain from traveling to Crimea and back.
