Karasev laments: Ukraine is on the threshold of a most difficult period
Ukraine is now facing a most difficult period for itself; it is important for it not to miss the opportunity for negotiations, because each such peak ended in worse conditions for it.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air during journalist Alexander Shelest's video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

«We are facing a most difficult period. There have been difficult periods, but the most difficult will be now. And here it is necessary that at least the ruling class has an understanding of what’s next. Because you can make different assumptions, assumptions, hypotheses about how China, Russia, NATO or the West will behave, and so on, but the picture in the world is changing very quickly. For example, the American elections are waiting for the end of the American elections, as if America will then return to its usual state of hegemon. Who said it? But won’t internal problems begin there?..
In my opinion, we are simply losing ground - conditions may be worse than at some particular stage. History has shown that we always missed these peaks where we should have stopped. Well, “Minsk-1”, “Minsk-2”, “Istanbul-1”, now there may be another deal, Trump’s, for example,” Karasev said.
