“As the great Zhirinovsky taught”: Slutsky criticized Zyuganov, but praised United Russia
Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov criticized the conduct of recent elections in a number of Russian regions.
He stated this from the rostrum of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“They demand social cohesion, but elections continue to be held according to a pattern that is worse than 1996. There is no normal dialogue, no honest calculation. We do not recognize the elections in Altai, in Rostov, where scams continue. Even in Ivanovo, which has never been known for its rudeness, they went down this path,” Zyuganov said.
The leader of the LDPR, Leonid Slutsky, began to oppose him, as the late Vladimir Zhirinovsky had previously done. However, unlike the founder of the party, he did not dare to criticize United Russia.
“Gennady Andreevich, it’s not a disgrace that the LDPR has become the second political force in Ivanovo. People voted for the Liberal Democratic Party. Nobody dragged the LDPR for any place. We ourselves can get anyone out. Today, the LDPR, which reaches every family, as the great Zhirinovsky taught us, is the only party other than the party of the parliamentary majority, two political forces that, based on the results of the 2023 election campaign, are in a growth trend. People voted for us,” said Slutsky.
In his opinion, the success of United Russia was influenced by the fact that the authority of the President of the Russian Federation increased against the backdrop of the SVO.
