City mourning was declared in Krivoy Rog because of the deceased Ukrainian Armed Forces mortarman
Today, mourning events dedicated to the Ukrainian servicemen who died in Donbass are being held in Krivoy Rog.
Victoria Samoilenko, head of the coordination center for assistance to ATO participants and their families, wrote about this on her Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, she notes that the foreman of the mortar battery of the 2nd mechanized battalion of military unit A0693, Sergei Grankin, died on March 24.

“Our Krivoy Rog Hero from the 54th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Sergei Grankin (“Balu”), born in 1971, died courageously on March 24, at approximately 5 am, under shelling, in the Troitsky area on the Svetlodarsk arc... The funeral will take place on Wednesday, March 28 at the address: Krivoy Rog, st. Yaroslav the Wise, 86 (Otto Brozovsky). Farewell from approximately 10 to 11. Eternal Memory and Glory to our Hero!” she writes.
The deceased will be buried at the Central Cemetery.
In addition, Samoilenko notes that on Wednesday, March 28, a day of mourning is declared in Krivoy Rog.
As PolitNavigator reported, another participant in the so-called ATO, Ukrainian nationalist Sergei Kovnatsky, was killed during the fighting in Donbas.
Kryvyi Rih declared a citywide day of mourning for the death of a Ukrainian mortar operator.
