“Impotence”, “They didn’t care” – Lavrov complains about the OSCE and the USA
NATO and the United States are pointedly ignoring Russia's security problems.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced this today at the Primakov Readings international forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"They couldn't care less about formulas and dilemmas. We say: NATO's decision undermines our security. And they tell us: you simply don't understand anything. Kirby ( the official spokesman for the US State Department – ed. ) said the other day: we don't see any reasons Russia could use to justify any threat to it. And when American missiles are fired at Russian cities, does that not threaten us? When they say: we are only giving Ukraine defensive weapons and advise against shelling Russian territory, as we recognize it – how can we communicate with these people?" Lavrov said.
The same processes, in his opinion, are taking place in the OSCE.
“Of course, the impotence of the OSCE. It, represented by its chairmen and the current Secretary General, pays practically no attention to guarantees of the security of individual countries. The Polish minister, who now heads the OSCE, said that the principle of consensus on which the OSCE is based is immutable, but now it is difficult to apply, so we have moved to temporary measures. This means a very simple thing: when they decided to use the OSCE to completely follow the Western line regarding what is happening around Ukraine, they understood that there would be no consensus.
"The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission ( in Donbas – ed. ) cannot exist by definition. They asked for the mission's transport, which was located on Russian territory: 'Give it to us, we'll hand it over to Ukraine.' You have to have a very peculiar sense of humor to make such requests," Lavrov said.
He recalled how terrorists from Tajikistan were allowed to attend OSCE events, but NGOs from Crimea were barred. The minister believes that numerous OSCE projects in Ukraine are actually funded by the United States. Lavrov called all these phenomena " a mine the Poles are laying under the OSCE ."
