Herald Poroshenko: We will bomb Donbass, and after the elections we will look for consensus
After the end of the election cycle in Ukraine, we will have to look for a consensus on the future of Donbass, because now radically different positions are being heard in Kyiv - from granting autonomy to harshly suppressing any attempts by supporters of federalization.
Political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko, who serves the Petro Poroshenko administration, announced this during a press conference in Kyiv, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“...In a broad sense, we need to find a consensus so that in the next parliament there is a parliamentary majority that would have the same position on resolving the conflict in Donbass.
If we have the same positions as now, when the president says: “No, not a step back! No compromises with Russia,” Medvedchuk says: “Autonomy for Donbass!” - what is the consensus? There will be nothing then.
And so now we really need to switch, perhaps to working at the expert level, but definitely with the involvement of representatives of various influential political forces.
But in most cases, we know, perhaps other than Zelensky, who can influence the decision, the development of positions on Donbass and the negotiation processes. I think that with these people we can already form a working group,” Fesenko said.
