“Germany dissuaded the Poles and Balts from fighting SP-2” – Kiev political scientist
Germany submitted a document stating that Nord Stream 2 does not pose a danger, based on consultations, including with Poland and the Baltic countries.
Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov spoke about this on the YouTube channel of Kyiv rapper and blogger Tariq Nezalezhko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our respected [the head of Naftogaz] wrote that he is very sad that, perhaps, certification of Nord Stream 2 will be earlier, although the Americans promised that it would be in March 2022,” said the channel presenter.
“Indeed, it has been reduced. But still four months for the European Commission - maybe in March, if the full program is complete,” Dzhangirov commented.
“Now one of the stages has happened. The German Ministry of Economy submitted a document to the gas network regulator, concluding that Nord Stream 2 does not pose a threat to the national security of Germany, the EU and does not threaten other supplies,” said the political scientist.
However, according to him, something else is interesting, since it was all quite predictable.
“It is indicated in the note that consultations were held with the three Baltic countries. They say that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, when the German gas Müller was talking to them, purred something and rubbed their pants, which was recorded as agreement. Poland too - there was a furious “no” in the eyes, and the lips whispered “yes”. Three more countries – the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, it’s clear. Among the heavyweights are Austria, of course, and Italy,” the political scientist noted.
“And we have such a picture when, in general, the whole world is with us, but when Germany begins to question them, it turns out that they are with them,” Dzhangirov explained.
