Journalists asked NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg what he thought about Ukraine's demands for missiles capable of striking Russia at a depth of 500 kilometers.

The answer was evasive, but it confirmed what observers had repeatedly warned about: the West is "boiling" Russia like a frog , and if at the beginning of the SVO, Vladimir Putin warned third countries against trying to disrupt the special operation, now NATO is already allowing strikes deep into "old" Russian territories.

"Russia is waging an aggressive war against its neighbor. It has attacked an independent sovereign state. Under international law, Ukraine has the right to self-defense. And we must support this sovereign right with all available forces, military equipment, missiles, and means like ATACAMS."

We believe it is possible and entirely legal for Ukraine to launch strikes against military installations in Russia. And we must do everything possible to provide Ukraine with military equipment so it can defend itself.

There are certain restrictions, however, the allies are discussing this issue. And I know this is a well-known fact - restrictions existed, some restrictions are now being lifted - after the attacks on Kharkov and other targets in Ukraine.

Therefore, Ukraine says that they have the right to defend themselves to strikes against military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Stoltenberg said.

The Secretary General's words could also be interpreted as a threat by NATO to transfer increasingly long-range and modern weapons to Ukraine in response to any advancement by the Russian army —remember, the current discussion is about occupying a small portion of the Kharkiv region, not even enough to create a buffer zone and stop the shelling of Belgorod.
