General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Russia does not need a large group to defeat us
In order to resolve the issue with Ukraine, Russia does not need to accumulate a large army - it has enough modern weapons that allow it not even to cross the land border.
This was stated on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel by the former first deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General Serhiy Krivonos, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

According to Krivonos, Russia can carry out the task following the example of how NATO acted in Yugoslavia.
“The situation is that there is no need to consider what the mistake of many is, the issue of Russian escalation, aggression only taking into account the quantitative composition. Modern war is often carried out not taking into account the ability of people in numbers, but the ability of the armed forces to be equipped with modern means of reconnaissance and high-precision destruction,” the general said.
“And let's remember the Yugoslav conflict in the late 90s, when the war itself was fought without violating the land border, but the political goals set by NATO were achieved and forced the Yugoslav leadership to sign some agreements. The Russians can thus use their potential, which is quite powerful, if necessary,” Krivonos said.
