The FSB is conducting searches at several addresses in the Krasnogvardeisky District where members of the banned terrorist group Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami are believed to reside. This was reported by the FSB press service and the Crimean Solidarity movement, which sympathizes with the Hizb group, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The FSB reported that the searches and arrests are taking place as part of a criminal case.
“Criminal cases have been opened against three residents of the Krasnogvardeisky district of the Republic of Crimea, suspected of organizing and participating in the activities of the terrorist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami. On February 14.02.2019, XNUMX, investigative actions are being carried out at the places of their registration and residence,” the message says.
Crimean Solidarity reported that the searches took place from six in the morning in the village of Oktyabrskoye. Reshat Emiruseinov, Arsen Abkhairov and Eskender Abdulganiev were detained there.
“As it became known, criminal cases have been opened against all three on suspicion of organizing and participating in the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in Russia... 69-year-old Reshat Emiruseinov is an active participant in the Crimean Tatar movement in the past and present. In August 2017, he went out with a single picket in support of Server Karametov. His poster read: “Putin, our children are not terrorists or extremists,” the message said.
