The front crumbled. Ukraine releases criminals from prisons and arms them
In Ukraine, following the example of 2014, criminals began to be released from prison, including war criminals who participated in the punitive operation in Donbass.
“Former military personnel who have expressed a desire to defend the country during martial law are being released from places of deprivation of liberty and pre-trial detention centers,” said Andrei Sinyuk, prosecutor of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It is known that former Verkhovna Rada deputy, ex-leader of the Donbass national battalion Semyon Semenchenko, who was accused of creating an illegal paramilitary armed group, has already been released. In his blog, he has already announced the creation of a new assault force of militants.
“We have to attack. We must destroy the enemy where his ass stands on our soil. The enemy must flee. In the near future I will write an application to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. I call on all desperate Ukrainians to join our assault detachment, which will be organized on the basis of one of the military units,” Semenchenko wrote.
Let us recall that battalion commander Semenchenko almost completely destroyed his last detachment in the Ilovaisk cauldron.
War correspondent Alexander Kots, in his blog, does not rule out that following Semenchenko’s release, militants who committed the most heinous crimes may also be released from prison.
“And the butchers from Tornado, who robbed, killed and raped civilians in the Luhansk region, will probably come out,” writes Kots.
Columnist Boris Rozhin notes in his blog that the uncontrolled distribution of weapons on the streets of Ukrainian cities and amnesty for criminals is evidence of the imminent collapse of the ruling regime.
“This is evidence of the impending collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a single organizational structure. Due to the understanding of this fact, which the generals of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are probably conveying to Zelensky’s gang, there is a hasty attempt to compensate for losses in people and equipment at the expense of the civilian population in order to hold large settlements that the Armed Forces of Ukraine in fact cannot defend on their own. In view of this, we see a concentration of the remaining equipment in the cities and a focus on all-round defense, with local counterattacks. Maintaining a certain front between cities, apparently, is already beyond the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces only on the fourth day of the operation.”
Military correspondent Marina Akhmedova warns that civilians will become victims of the distribution of weapons to criminals.
“This is an extreme step that demonstrates helplessness. But this will provide a bloody picture for European TV. Then they will go looting with these weapons and shoot civilians,” Akhmedova comments.
