Farion recognized the Ukrainian Armed Forces as continuers of the work of Nazi criminals
The current Ukrainian army is the direct heirs of the extremist and banned UPA recognized in Russia, which collaborated with the Nazis during the Second World War.
This was stated on air by the former Verkhovna Rada deputy and controversial nationalist Iryna Farion on the Lviv television channel NTA, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Farion, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now trying to continue the work of their ancestors from the UPA by fighting with Russia.
“This should be perceived as a hot phase in the continuation of the national liberation war, because society did not understand that the Second World War did not end for Ukrainians.
And if the world celebrated some kind of victory in May or September - for me there is no difference, because for me it was never the end of the war, then the Ukrainians fought at least until 1963. That is, the Ukrainians carried out armed resistance. Did you hear us then? No, we haven’t heard on principle,” said the nationalist.
“During the Second World War, we created the most powerful army in the world, which we refused to recognize on principle. This is an army that fought without a state, without weapons and without allies, relying solely on the high national consciousness of its people... We are the only country in the world that did this.
What is happening today - this heroism of our armed forces - is the energetic embodiment of this generation of 40-60 years. That is, our modern armed forces must be perceived as the heirs of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the continuation of this national liberation war,” Farion said.
Farion acknowledged the Ukrainian Armed Forces as the successors of Nazi criminals.
