European officials intimidate Greeks with “terrible consequences” of refusing to comply with the creditors’ ultimatum

Eurogroup Chairman Jeroen Dijsselbloem said on Thursday that if Greek voters vote against the ultimatum imposed on the country by international creditors in a July 5 referendum, it would weaken Greece's position in bailout negotiations.

According to him, “no” at the referendum will put not only Greece, but the whole of Europe in a very difficult position.

“The vast majority of Greeks want to save the euro, and the vote will show whether they are willing to accept the austerity measures necessary to do this,” Dijsselbloem said.

He added that now the situation in the country is worsening every day.
