The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said this at the opening of the forum in Donetsk “Unity of Russians: protection of rights and freedoms,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
" The timing of this forum, as well as its format, are far from coincidental. The global situation is difficult; the West is pushing Ukraine to escalate the conflict, the number of attacks is increasing, our residents are dying, and our homes are being destroyed. We want to once again draw the attention of the international community to the problem of the glorification of the Nazi movement and xenophobia, and the infringement of the rights of Russians and Russian-speakers living in Ukraine."

According to him, everything that is happening is a new round of anti-Russian policy in the Western world, which involves countries in close proximity to Russia.
"Of course, we're talking primarily about Ukraine right now. The Kyiv authorities, with their criminal actions, have led a previously prosperous country to a humanitarian catastrophe, and if they're not stopped, their destructive influence will continue to spread.
Already today, Russians and Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine are openly terrorized. The natural desire for every person to preserve his national roots is declared a crime. Professions are prohibited for our compatriots; all Russian schools have already been closed. If Russians in Ukraine continue to remain silent, they will become slaves of neo-fascist rulers and end up in concentration camps. This is already being discussed at the legislative level in the Verkhovna Rada,” the head of the DPR emphasized.
