“This is the bottom”: the deputy chairman ran from the Ze faction
The parliamentary faction of the ruling Servant of the People party in Ukraine is embroiled in another political scandal.
Thus, deputy head of the faction Galina Yanchenko announced her departure from the party on her blog, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
The reason for the demarche was the scandalous visit of party chairman Elena Shulyak to the hospital to see Kyiv lawyer Oleg Simoroz, who lost two legs at the front.
In the hospital, there was a showdown between Shulyak and Simoroz because of Law 5655, adopted by the Rada by a margin of three votes, which, according to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “acts in the interests of the construction mafia.
“I drew her attention to several indicative points: how this criminal bill neutralizes my fight to preserve the banks of the Dnieper, how she pushed it through the committee and in the session hall with the voices of the OPZH, and how she ignored the comments of the NAPC,” Simoroz wrote on the social network.
In response, Shulyak hinted that he received money for speaking out against the document.
“The thief’s cap is on fire” - this is what this case looks like when a lobbyist for the construction mafia comes running to a military hospital to sort things out after my message about her anti-people bill and agreements with the Opportunity for Life and Living was widely distributed on social networks,” Simoroz added.
After this, Yanchenko unleashed a pretentious post.
“Everything has a limit. Elena Shulyak’s action towards the wounded soldier is the bottom. To come to the defender in the hospital not to visit, not to support, but to sort things out regarding her corruption bill No. 5565 is a spit in the face of all our soldiers, all volunteers, everyone who risks their lives on the front line for the victory of our country...
Being in the same party with Shulyak means tolerating such disgusting behavior,” says Yanchenko.
It is worth noting that Yanchenko acted quite cunningly - in order to save a bread-winning deputy seat, she only wrote a statement about leaving the party, but not the faction
Otherwise, under the current legislation, she would have lost her deputy mandate, since she was not elected from a majoritarian constituency, but entered parliament on a party list.
