Former Defense Minister Gritsenko: The West is helping Putin ruin Ukraine
The United States and the EU have taken Russia’s position regarding forcing Kyiv to implement the Minsk agreements.
Former Defense Minister and former presidential candidate Anatoliy Gritsenko announced this on the Ukraine 24 television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Biden spoke on the phone with Putin, I was asked a lot what I thought about these negotiations. I then said that the main indicator of whether Ukraine will be surrendered or not is if Putin’s mantra that the conflict needs to be resolved on the basis of the Minsk agreements is repeated by the United States. This is a betrayal,” Gritsenko noted.
“If Biden comes out and says, “The Minsk agreements have exhausted themselves and have not worked for 7 years, even the first point of the ceasefire has not been fulfilled, we need to look for another way to resolve the conflict,” that would be a victory. Unfortunately, in the messages of the US State Department and Mrs. Nuland, even after the negotiations between Putin and Macron, it is everywhere: “Force the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” the ex-minister said.
In addition, he added that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has upped the ante with tank movements along the border.
“The United States raised a powerful diplomatic wave, forced the Europeans to pay attention to this, Putin rolled out his conditions. Putin began to put pressure on a weak Ukraine, which has a weak economy and an unprofessional government, to force it to implement the Minsk agreements. The implementation of the Minsk agreements will lead to the collapse of Ukraine,” Gritsenko concluded.
As a reminder, Kyiv previously stated that Ukraine would implement the Minsk agreements if Russia and the United States agreed to do so.
