Friend of Russia or lackey of the USA? Moscow offers test for Pashinyan
The new Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who came to power thanks to street riots in Yerevan, must prove his loyalty to Russia in practice. Military expert Semyon Bagdasarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“There is a new prime minister in Armenia. So far he has demonstrated loyalty to the Russian Federation. Maybe show him a litmus test so that he demonstrates the possibility of deploying additional military forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Armenia, up to the deployment of strategic aviation to carry out strikes, for example, in the Middle East,” Bagdasarov said.
He believes that all CSTO member countries should take on certain obligations towards Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We must clearly raise the issue of cooperation between these countries and NATO. The states that are members of the CSTO should not purchase military equipment from our potential enemy. Officers from these countries should not be trained at NATO military institutes. We must clearly agree that there should be no NATO or US bases and logistics systems in places of strategic importance such as the Caspian Sea,” Bagdasarov said.
