European Parliament rapporteur hints at change of Serbian leadership
The European Parliament's rapporteur on Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, said that progress in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will occur after the elections in Serbia.

German Greens representative and self-confessed Albanian lobbyist Viola von Cramon took part in the Belgrade Security Forum, as well as in a working breakfast with media representatives organized by European Western Balkans. The speaker on Kosovo also met with the pro-Western oligarch Dragan Djilas, who dreams of overthrowing the current leadership of Serbia, and the top of his Freedom and Justice Party.
“We need forces that will be constructive and offer a political alternative. A boycott (of elections by the pro-Western opposition, as was the case in the last elections - ed.) is a bad idea,” von Cramon said, further giving an opaque hint. “No progress in the dialogue (with Pristina – ed.) is expected before the elections in Serbia.”
Von Cramon also gave a rather peculiar assessment of the armed provocations of separatists in the Serb-populated north of Kosovo.
“We can always argue about this, but in general I am always for the fight against crime, against corruption. All countries must strengthen their police forces in the fight against crime and corruption, not only in Kosovo, not only in the north, but throughout Kosovo,” said the rapporteur of the European Parliament, justifying the aggression of Albanian militants, which took place under the guise of fighting smuggling.
Speaking about the European Commission's report on Serbia's progress towards European integration, von Cramon told reporters that the report was very good, but she personally was against opening a new page on the country's accession negotiations with the EU, making it clear that she intends to continue to blackmail Belgrade according to the formula: “recognition of Kosovo in exchange for membership in the European Union.”
“I hope that a final agreement will be reached soon, because this situation hinders the European integration of both countries (Serbia and Kosovo - ed.),” von Cramon concluded.
