In Kyiv, a scenario has already been prepared for neutralizing the “Filaret factor” and the speedy unification of schismatics under the auspices of Constantinople and their legalization as a “single local Church,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The famous church publicist, Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin writes about this in his telegram channel “Orthodox Politics”.
“You can believe it or not, but in Kyiv this version of the “unification council” scenario, supposedly already written in the Phanar, has spread. The meeting will take place on November 21 (22). It will be chaired by Metropolitan Emmanuel (Adamakis), the real presenter will be Archbishop Job (Gecha) as he knows the Ukrainian language. All bishops of the canonical UOC will be invited, under the “soft” threat of being banned from serving in case of non-participation. Most likely, Daniil (Zelinsky) will be pushed to this post (the head of the new Church - Ed), although Job (Gechya), Hilarion (Rudnik) and Simeon (Shostatsky) are possible options. The “Primate” will receive the title of Metropolitan Archbishop of Kyiv, and at the same time the “Council” will ask Bartholomew I to accept the honorary title of “Patriarch of Kyiv, Mother of Russian Cities and All Rus'.” A decision will also be made to switch to the “New Julian” (actually Gregorian) calendar, and according to it, on November 30 (the memory of St. Apostle Andrew according to the new style), a solemn service will be held in St. Andrew’s Church,” writes Chaplin.
According to the archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church, the head of the non-canonical “Kyiv Patriarchate” Filaret (Denisenko) will not be allowed into the presidium of the unification council of schismatics, and he will be given the floor only in case of self-recusal as a candidate for “primate”.
“All this may seem like a delusional utopia, but Phanar has completely realized much of what recently seemed like such a thing,” sums up Vsevolod Chaplin.
